Sad... But True

"I didn't know the antifreeze would kill the cat, just make it sick," Charvat said in a state police report, according to The Saginaw News. The report said she also fed antifreeze to a chocolate Labrador retriever. - Grand Haven Tribune

How many people, just like Charvat, think antifreeze doesn't kill?

I think if you asked the general population, more than half would agree with her.

Why? Well, I feel consumers have come too "familiar" with antifreeze. They use it in cars and around the home. And this maybe why people like Charvat think antifreeze does not kill.

And that's why places like Australia, UK, and parts of Europe have legislated for the use of denatonium benzoate in antifreeze. Because they know it's dangerous.

Anyway, let's hope that manufacturers of antifreeze and legislators in the US, take the lead and pass the "Bittering Agent Act". This may help protect all of us and our pets from the omnipresence of antifreeze.

Repellents And Denatonium Benzoate

Do you think you could improve your product by adding denatonium benzoate to it?

Well, there are many ways denatonium benzoate can be used. For example, one of our customers use it as a repellent. And you know what?

It works!

You see, denatonium benzoate has been proven to deter animals like deer, dogs and even cats.

And lately, we've had a customer use our product to deter rats from gnawing his bait boxes.

Anyway, if you have an idea for your product, we would be happy to speak to you.
